Booking Information


Fuel

  • Is the responsibility of the hirer
  • You refill the vehicle to the starting level
  • No refunds given on fuel above starting level

Tyres

Tyres that are run flat or sustain sidewall damage are your responsibility

Windscreen Damage

Is the responsibility of the hirer.

Rental Period

A rental period is based on a 24hr basis from pickup time. If vehicle is returned late, late fee will be charged.

Animals & Pets

Ambrose Car Hire does not allow the carriage of pets or any animals in their vehicles whilst on rental. Carriage of pets or animals will render the contract void, and the rental bond will be retained and used for cleaning and fumigating the vehicle.

Change of Vehicle

Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Ambrose Car Hire reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification. This shall not constitute a breach of contract.

Drivers License and Age Restrictions

Drivers must be 21 years or over, with a full driver's licence. If the licence is not an English format then an international driver’s licence is required. A current motor vehicle driver's licence is required and must be produced on pick-up.

Cleaning Fee

A cleaning fee is imposed if the vehicle is returned dirty this includes:

  • Animals
  • Smoking
  • Beach sand

Calculation Errors

Ambrose will not honour calculation errors. Should a calculation error occur We will charge for the shortfall.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation fees are as follows:

  • To cancel a prior booking a telephone call or email is appreciated.
  • If vehicle is returned early for any reason there is only a refund for the unused rental days not the CDW insurance.
